I am a certified yoga teacher (RYT-500) and an educator at heart, with over 28 years of experience in teaching, leadership, and mentoring across Singapore, India, and China. My journey has been deeply rooted in education, counselling, and human development—shaping the way I hold space, guide movement, and connect with people.
I teach with clarity, compassion, and structure, creating sessions that feel safe, purposeful, and supportive—whether you are new to yoga or returning to it after a long pause.
From Leadership to the Mat
For many years, I lived the rhythm of educational leadership—meeting responsibilities, nurturing teams, and supporting communities. Along the way, I began to notice the quiet toll that modern professional life can take on the body, breath, and mind.
That awareness became a turning point.
I chose to pause, reflect, and gently realign my priorities toward health, balance, and sustainable living. Yoga entered my life not as a goal, but as a companion—and soon became my steady anchor.
Through consistent practice, I experienced the quiet strength of:

Through Althea Living, I cultivate a warm and collaborative learning space, supported by trained volunteers and guest practitioners who share a commitment to wellbeing.
My sessions are guided by classical yoga principles and a deep understanding of people—ensuring that the practice is gentle yet effective, safe yet empowering. I place strong emphasis on breath-led movement, mindful alignment, and self-awareness, supporting participants of all ages and abilities.
Here, yoga is not about perfection on the mat. It is about consistency, confidence, and quiet growth—within and beyond the practice.
